1. About Us

ForestCell is operated by Cloud Aten LDA, a company registered in Portugal, with registered office at Escritório 5.07, Av. Atlântico 16, 5.º, 1990-019 Lisboa, Portugal.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ForestCell, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

3. The Platform

ForestCell connects contributors who fund reforestation with verified seeders who plant and maintain trees. We act as an intermediary to facilitate transparent, accountable reforestation.

4. Accounts

• You must be 18+ to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• Provide accurate information. Do not impersonate others.
• We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. Contributions

• Contributions fund specific reforestation plots. They are not donations for tax purposes.
• A platform fee (currently 10%) is deducted to sustain ForestCell operations.
• Funds are held and released to seeders according to the contribution schedule (planting, maintenance, survival buffer).
• Refunds may be issued if a plot is cancelled before planting begins.

6. Seeders

• Seeders must complete identity verification before receiving contributions.
• Seeders commit to planting and maintaining trees for the stewardship period.
• Seeders must submit periodic proof of reforestation (photos, survival counts).
• Failure to maintain trees may result in withholding of maintenance payments.

7. Survival Guarantee

Each plot has a guaranteed survival percentage. A portion of contributions is held as a survival buffer and released only after proof submissions confirm the survival rate is met at the end of the stewardship period.

8. Intellectual Property

Content you upload (photos, descriptions) remains yours. You grant ForestCell a license to display it on the platform. The ForestCell brand, design, and code are our property.

9. Limitation of Liability

ForestCell facilitates connections between contributors and seeders. We verify seeders to the best of our ability but cannot guarantee every tree survives. Our liability is limited to the platform fees collected.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Portuguese Republic and the European Union. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
